Camera

DOES FL360 USE BLUETOOTH TO WIRELESSLY TRANSMIT?

No. The FL360 uses the 2.4GHz band to transmit from the camera to the tablet.

WHAT IS THE WARRANTY?

All Agility FirstLook360 products and accessories* are warranted against defects in workmanship and materials. The warranty period is 2 years. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, or abuse of the equipment. No other warranties, expressed or implied, are provided.

WHAT IS THE IP RATING OF THE CAMERA?

IP-68 – Protected from dust and immersion in water up to a depth of 3 meters / 30 minutes when using the Environmental Battery Enclosure Lid.

WHY ARE THERE TWO BATTERY ENCLOSURE LIDS?

Speaker/Microphone Lid – Used to communicate and listen within the void space.

Environmental Lid – Used in extreme wet weather and in the case you may submerse the camera in water.

Application

HOW DO I GET TO THE FL360 SUB-MENU?

To access the sub-menu in the app you can press the hamburger icon (three parallel lines) located in the top left of the app or slide your finger on the screen from left to right to pull out the menu.

WHAT IS THE WHITE LINE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE VIEWING AREA?

The fixed white line you see in the viewing area of the live stream is called the Meridian line. It is used as guidance dividing the 2 lenses, left and right and provides you with front and rear markers. Use this with the Field of View Indicator on the top right to know where you’re looking in the void space.

WHY WOULD MY RECORDED SNAPSHOTS AND 360° VIDEO NOT HAVE GPS DATA?

This issue may be due to current environmental conditions or an obstructed line of sight for GPS lock. Please ensure that the location services on your devices are enabled.

DOES MY VIDEO RECORDING CONTINUE WHEN I CLOSE THE APP?

No. Once you’ve closed the application, the video recording will stop.

WHY DONT I SEE ANY MAP DETAIL WHEN I OPEN THE MAP FEATURE IN THE SUB-MENU?

If you don’t see any map details when the map section is opened on the side menu, please ensure the tablet is connected to an internet source. Download the specific area you’re working in before deploying or using the application. Wait for the download to finish before proceeding with any tasks.

CAN I TURN OFF THE AUTO-ROTATE FEATURE?

Yes, you can disable the auto-rotate feature in the settings menu, on the live screen, or via the dashboard. Setting it to ON or OFF in the settings will establish the default behavior when the app starts.

WHERE DO I GO TO UPDATE THE FL360 APPLICATION?

Make sure to connect the tablet to the internet and once a connection is made, find the Google Play Store application. Open the app, then type in the search bar “FL360 or FirstLook360.” At this point the FL360 application should be listed. Go to it and once it has opened there should be an option button to update. Press that update button and allow the application to load. That’s it!

WHERE DO I UPDATE THE FIRMWARE?

FirstLook Cameras can update firmware Over the Air (OTA). Connect the camera to the tablet, go to the dashboard, and if a firmware update is available, you will see an update button next to the firmware version. Press it and follow the on-screen instructions to update. For any questions or to check for firmware updates, you can also contact us at info@firstlook.net.

HOW DO I ACCESS THE SETTINGS?

Settings can be accessed via the Dashboard (Settings and More Settings) or by selecting the Gear icon on the side menu bar.

WHAT IS THE LATEST VERSION FOR SOFTWARE AND FIRMWARE?

The latest version of the software is 1.2.2, and the latest firmware version is 8.4.

HOW CAN I DETERMINE WHAT VERSION OF THE FIRSTLOOK360 APP IS INSTALLED ON MY DEVICE?

Go to the settings menu by pressing the Gear Icon on the side menu. The app version will be listed under Software.

I GET A MESSAGE TELLING ME THAT MY MAP IS OLDER THAN 6 MONTHS

To update your map, connect your device to the Internet and re-download it. Go to the map section, press “+Add Map,” and move the selection box to the desired area. Choose the level of detail (medium or high is recommended), then press the green download button. Your updated map will appear in the list of Offline maps.

Operation

WHAT IS THE CORRECT WAY TO POSITION THE FL360 CAMERA ON THE USAR1 EXTENSION POLE?

To attach the FL360 LR camera to the USAR LR extension pole correctly, ensure that the camera lenses are positioned horizontally (left and right) and parallel to the floor. You can use the bi-pod legs on the extension pole as a guide for proper alignment.

CAN YOU PLUG IN THE POWER BANK WHILE USING THE FL360 CAMERA?

Yes, by installing charged batteries and connecting your tablet with the supplied cable, you can use the power bank to charge or extend the tablet’s battery life when wirelessly connected to a camera.

HOW DO I EXTEND THE CAMERA BATTERIES DURING OPERATION?

To extend battery life, switch the camera to sleep mode when you’re not live streaming. You can do this by selecting the “SLEEP” option on the DASHBOARD. This will pause the live feed and put the camera in standby mode, helping to preserve battery life.

WHY WON’T THE CAMERA TURN ON WHEN PRESSING THE POWER BUTTON?

Press and hold the power button for 4 seconds or until the blue LED comes on.

SHOULD I REMOVE THE BATTERIES FROM THE CAMERA AFTER OPERATION?

Yes, it is best practice to remove and fully charge the batteries, then store them in a smart holder for the next deployment. Keep the batteries in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and high temperatures. FL360 LR batteries can hold a full charge for several months. Avoid leaving them in a fully discharged state for extended periods to prevent irreversible damage.

HOW DO I ADJUST THE USAR1 EXTENSION POLE TO ALIGN AND MOUNT THE FL360 CAMERA?

To align and mount the FL360 LR camera on the USAR LR extension pole, use the provided Allen key to loosen the screws on the black cone component at the end of the pole. Attach the camera and ensure it is correctly aligned. Once aligned, tighten the screws on both sides of the black cone component to secure the camera in place.

HOW DO I EXTEND THE TABLETS BATTERY DURING OPERATION?

When not using the tablet, tap the power button to turn off the screen essentially putting the tablet to sleep.  This does not turn off the tablet.  Simply tap the power button again to turn the tablet screen back on.

WHY DOES MOVEMENT ON THE LIVE SCREEN APPEAR TO BE REVERSED? 

Touchscreen movements are treated differently on Android and iOS. To adjust the virtual camera’s movement (up/down, left/right) to your preference, go to “More Settings” and find the “Invert Virtual Camera Axis Control” option. Turn it on or off as needed.

WHERE IS THE ON SCREEN JOYSTICK FEATURE?

The on-screen joystick feature is still available and can now be toggled on or off. To enable or disable it, go to the dashboard, then to settings, and find the option to toggle the on-screen joystick.

Tablet/Maintenance/Accessories

CAN I ADD AN ADDITIONAL USER PROFILE ON MY SAMSUNG TABLET?

It’s best not to add more than one user profile on your Samsung tablet. Samsung’s implementation of user profiles can cause issues with many applications, including preventing connection to the FL360 LR Camera. However, you can still add multiple Google accounts without any problems.

ARE THE TABLETS THAT COME WITH THE FL360 KITS WATERPROOF?

Yes, the tablets that come with the USAR LR, RSK LR, and MRK LR kits are waterproof. They are IP68 rated and MIL-STD-810G tested, meaning they can withstand drops from 4.9 feet, extreme temperatures, dust, shock, vibration, and low pressure/high altitude conditions.

HOW DO I EXTEND THE TABLETS BATTERY?

Make sure to store the tablet and camera kit in a cool/warm location and look to add the tablet to a monthly charging cycle.

HOW DO I EXTEND THE FL360 CAMERAS BATTERY LIFE?

Make sure to store the FL360 batteries  in a cool/warm location and look to add the batteries to a monthly charging cycle.

CAN I CHARGE THE TABLET USING THE PROVIDED BATTERY CHARGER?

Yes, but it’s not recommended. You can use the Smart 5V USB port on the back of the Li-Ion charger, but it charges the tablet very slowly. It’s best to use the wall charger included in the kit for faster charging.

WHAT DO I USE TO CLEAN THE FL360 CAMERA LENSES?

Use a microfiber cloth to clean the lenses.

WHAT IS THE BATTERY CAPACITY OF THE TABLET?

Battery capacity is device specific. Please refer to the individual device information. Samsung tablets supplied by FirstLook typically have a capacity of 7400mAh. Runtime for the tablet depends on various operational and environmental factors such as temperature and screen brightness. It can run up to 6 hours on the field.

CAN I USE APPLE DEVICES TO CONNECT TO FL360 LR?

Yes, you can use Apple devices to connect to the FL360. Download the free FIRSTLOOK360 App from the App Store. Ensure your device has a USB-C connector and supports iOS 14 or higher.

WHAT VERSION OF ANDROID CAN BE USED?

Devices running Android 11 or higher are typically supported.

CAN I UPDATE FIRMWARE WITH AN IOS DEVICE?

Currently firmware updates can only be performed with an Android device if your camera has firmware version v7.2 or older. For cameras with firmware version v8.1 or newer, you can update using either an iOS or Android device.

Troubleshooting

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE FL360 APP CRASHES?

If the FL360 app crashes, simply restart the application.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I CAN’T PAIR TO THE FL360 APP TO THE FL360 CAMERA?

If the FL360 camera and app won’t pair, make sure the FL360 camera is in pairing mode (red/blue LED flashing).  If the FL360 camera is not in pairing mode, please turn off the camera and restart.

WIRELESS AND/OR WIRED CONNECTION ISN’T WORKING

If your wireless or wired connection isn’t working, ensure you have the latest firmware and the FIRSTLOOK360 app installed for Android or iOS. Note that the app and firmware require Android 11 or higher. If an update is needed, you’ll need an Android device with Android 11 or higher to perform the update. Firmware updates must be done with an Android device before using an iOS device.

WHEN I START THE CAMERA, THE LED IS FLASHING RED AND BLUE BUT THE APP DOESN’T DETECT IT

To establish connection between the camera and the device, go to Wi-Fi settings on your device and find the camera in the list. Camera name will be FL360_[Serial Number]. Once the camera is selected enter the password. Default password is “FL360123”.
